Give me 10 good reasons why the Fusion digital dimmer is better than the rest

It’s available in a compact industry standard 19", 3U high Rack Mount unit with 12 channels per pack and load ratings of 10A, 16A or 20A per channel or as an easy fit 12 channel wall mount unit with a load rating of 10A per channel (that can also be configured in various load ratings up to 32A).

It’s unbelievably simple to use ! Stick them out on a "no nonsense" club gig, a complex multi-load theatre show or your biggest act this year – in all cases Fusion delivers the performance you expect without the fuss.

It’s extremely reliable with a field proven track record – thousands of Fusion Dimming channels are sold each year around the world.

It doesn’t give up when the going gets tough – Fusion Dimmers are designed for 100% duty cycle operation in hot outdoor environments. And, if in the unlikely event the going exceeds the high tolerances expected then the Fusion backs off the level progressively.

Fusion Dimmers accept both DMX512 digital and 0 - 10V analogue so there’s no need to use additional encoders or decoders when using them with a simple "2 preset" board or a sophisticated digital console.

It can dim almost anything; neons, fluorescents, low voltage and, of course tungsten. What's more it's non–dim feature can handle switched loads.

It’s got individual channel test buttons which can snap to half power, full power or fade to any level.

It has a memory that remembers the settings of the channel test buttons – therefore there’s no need to connect a console for "static" shows, just set the levels and the Fusion will return to them on power up – with a non tripping "soft start" too !

It can be programmed to respond to a "lost" DMX512 signal in one of three ways – black out, retain the last DMX state or go to a pre–programmed multi–level setting – and for safety it can be connected to fire alarms, voice activated evacuation systems or simple switches that can override the DMX signal in emergencies.

It's fault tolerant three phase configuration enables it to work with the loss of one phase.

Still not convinced ? Here are a few more features

Our market research clearly showed that reliability was the key issue in selecting a dimming system but that was closely followed by EASE OF USE. It took a long time to produce a User Interface for the Fusion Rack Mount that offered Simplicity of Operation but still allowed access to the Advanced Features when required.

Attention to this area enables the Fusion to be "put out on a no–nonsense concert tour" dimming simple tungsten loads or used in a show case situation dimming complex electronic transformers and fluorescent tubes. In both cases the requirements of one user are not hampered by the sometimes conflicting requirements of the other. Take DMX for example, 9 times out of 10 you’ll just want to set the start address for the dimmer pack but occasionally you might want to cross patch. Fusion allows all of this without sacrificing one requirement for the other.

Need to run analogue occasionally ? Provided it’s +10V then Fusion has an A – D (analogue to digital) converter built in. So there’s no need to use additional interfaces (reducing overall cost and improving reliability too).

How do we do it ?

You’ll need a demonstration to truly appreciate the approach but let’s just say that we’ve managed to split the requirements into two distinct areas. We call them User and Super User modes and we’re justifiably proud of the result !

So what else can we tell you ?

Well, the Fusion Rack Mount is very easy to install in new build situations or adapt to existing systems thanks to it’s removable back panel – this can be punched to accept a variety of non–standard connectors that can be connected to the internal "quick fit" DIN rail mounted outlet blocks. Alternatively, Celco manufacture various pre–wired connector plates featuring some of the most popular multi–pole connectors. Check with your Authorised Celco Dealer for availability.

As for fitting the Fusion Wall Mount, well simply bolt to the wall and configure the electrical trunking system beneath the knock outs on the lower surface. Could it be easier ?

Now what’s all the noise about ?

No noise from our dimmers for sure thanks to a clever Soft Filtering choke design that offers a Virtual Slow Rise Time, greatly reducing lamp sing.

If your requirement for dimming calls for a stable output, even when the input voltage fluctuates, then Fusion has the answer. Output Voltage Stability maintains the output voltage to within ±3% for an input fluctuation of ±10%

Okay, I get the message...

The Fusion range of digital dimmers are suitable for inclusion in specifications calling for an advanced dimmer unit that is compact, reliable, safe and quiet. It can be used in both touring and installed applications covering television, theatre, conference and concert mediums.

Accept nothing less.
